What is Alpha Custom Tailored?
Alpha Custom Tailored is an online tailoring service established in London in 2005 which leverages technology and international partnerships to craft high quality, custom fitted business and formalwear for customers around the world.

Our goal is to make the custom tailoring process accessible to those outside of the very highest income brackets and ensure that more men are able to enjoy the feeling of a sharp, highly comfortable custom garment and the attention that comes with looking great. [Back to top]

 

What is a custom tailored garment? 
A custom tailored garment is a piece of clothing that has been designed, cut, and assembled exclusively for you, guaranteeing a perfect fit and providing new levels of confidence. [Back to top]

 

What garments do you carry? 
We currently carry men’s suits, dinnerwear, blazers, shirts, vests and accessories. Customers should visit our site often or consult our marketing communications for new product offers and special rates. [Back to top]

 

Do you carry women’s or children’s garments? 
We currently specialize in men’s garments only. However, women and children can use our measurement and style guides to purchase an item of menswear in their measurements.

Where is my garment made? 
Alpha Custom Tailored exploys designers and master tailors in each of its base locations London, Shanghai and New York. Craftsmanship from each of these destinations may enhance your own personal garment. Most of our garments are assembled and shipped from our Shanghai location. [Back to top]

 

B. Measurements

How do I take my own measurements?
Recording your measurements accurately is essential for Alpha Custom Tailored to create a perfect fitting garment and is easy to do at home or in the office with our simple self-measurement process.

Simply download and assemble our online measuring tape and follow the clear, simple videos in either the Measurements or My Account areas of our site. These animations will demonstrate the important beginning and ending points of each measurement as well as provide verbal instructions. How do I use the downloadable measuring tape?
To use the downloadable measuring tape, simple visit the Measurements or My Account areas of our site. Alternatively, the measuring tape can be downloaded by clicking here. Simply print the PDF file and ensure its correct proportions through a comparison with local currency. Cut and tape together pieces of the tape as directed and you will have a full functional and accurate measuring tape in minutes. [Back to top]

 

Is it possible to have an Alpha agent take my measurements?
Currently, Alpha Custom Tailored has quite limited ability to provide agents for measurements purposes. If you reside or work within the downtown core of London, Dublin, Paris, Toronto or New York and require an agent to supply you with precise measurements, please contact Alpha Customer Service (customer@alphatailor.com) and a reasonable rate may be negotiated. Can my measurements be taken from an existing garment which fits me well?
Alpha Custom Tailored is fully able and willing to provide you with measurements based on a well-fitting garment already in your wardrobe. If you wish to pursue this option, simply place your order and contact Alpha Customer Service (customer@alphatailor.com) to make the appropriate arrangements. Customers will be required to post their garment to our master tailors, who can take measurements and reproduce existing garments. Can I request garment customization not listed on your site?
Alpha Custom Tailored is committed to providing its customers with garments that meet their exact specifications and desires. Can I inquire about a garment/service not listed on your site?
Alpha Custom Tailored offers a limited range of products in which it specializes but is frequently expanding its products offerings. Can I request style advice from an Alpha agent?

Can you reproduce a certain look from an image/photograph?
We would be pleased to attempt the reproduction of an item from an image or photograph. Simple email Alpha Customer Service with the appropriate image/photograph and, in consultations with our master tailors, we will let you know whether this service will be possible. [Back to top]

 

What kind of embroidery may be requested for my garment?
Embroidery is available on most Alpha Custom Tailored products but is limited to 15 characters of text only. We would be pleased to include a monogram or word/phrase on your garment at no additional cost. If our ordering process does not allow for the particular look you hope to achieve, simply contact Alpha Customer Service (customer@alphatailor.com) with your request and we will do our utmost to accommodate your wish. Can I request fabric samples before placing an order?

D. Delivery/Quality Assurance

How can I pay for my garment? 
Alpha Custom Tailored accepts Visa, Mastercard and most other major credit cards on our site. You will receive a receipt and copy of the order invoice and can rest assured that your financial information is protected to the fullest level of security. [Back to top]

 

How long will it take for my garment to arrive? 
Clients are currently presented with two shipping options that determine the arrival date of their order. At no additional charge, orders arrive within approximately 3-4 weeks. For an additional charge (currency dependent), you order can arrive in fewer than 10 business days. [Back to top]

 

How durable will my garment be? 
As with any garment, the longevity of a suit or shirt from Alpha Custom Tailored will be determined by the frequency with which you wear it and the amount of care taken to preserve its fabric and form. Our products are made to last with quality materials and advanced crafting techniques. All or our garments are dry clean only. [Back to top]

 

What if my garment does not fit as promised?
Alpha Custom Tailored goes to great lengths to ensure that your garments will be of the greatest quality and fit. We aim to provide customers with effective, practical tools to aid you in determining your measurements. Our masters tailors take these measurements and use their years of experience to create a fine crafted, custom fitted garment contoured to your unique build.

However, despite these tools and years of experience, if human error does occur, resulting in a suit that is not 100% to your satisfaction in terms for fit, Alpha Custom Tailored will refund a limited portion of the sales price of your garment to cover any additional tailoring which might be required to remedy the problem. This amount is restricted according to a certain set figure and requires proof of service, such as a receipt. What if my garment arrives damaged?
We take great care in crafted your custom designed and fitted garment. However, if for some reason your garment arrives in a damaged state we will see to it that this situation is remedied. Simply contact Alpha Customer Service (customer@alphatailor.com) and describe the problem, providing photos when possible. If your claim is valid, we will refund a portion of the sales price to cover additional tailoring or, in the rare case that this will not fix the problem, will refund/exchange your item.
